Radiology
We can perform X-Rays on your pet if they have been in an accident or are displaying signs of pain. Our x-ray technician will prepare your pet and take the necessary x-rays. We are able to develop the x-rays on site and determine if there is anything wrong with your pet.
If radiographic changes are subtle, or Dr Engel wants more information, we often send films out to University of Minnesota radiologists for interpretation, much like your family physician sends your films to a radiologist. These board-certified specialists can give valuable added insights on your pet's case, so that proper diagnosis and treatment can be given.
For breeding dogs, we can take hip and elbow films for OFA evaluation.
(FYI, the radiograph shown here is a pet with a fractured pelvis, and is also carrying around a few shotgun pellets.)
